Takeoff Specialist (Female Candidate)

Position Overview 

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Takeoff Specialist to join our team on a full-time basis (Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST). The specialist will be responsible for performing accurate quantity takeoffs from architectural and engineering drawings, supporting cost estimation, and ensuring precise documentation for project bids and execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for materials, labor, and equipment.
• Utilize digital takeoff software (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam, AutoCAD) to generate accurate calculations.
• Prepare cost estimates and maintain organized takeoff records.
• Collaborate with estimators, engineers, and project managers to validate takeoff results.
• Identify discrepancies or omissions in plans and communicate findings promptly.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and company procedures.
• Support bid preparation and provide input for project budgets.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in quantity takeoffs, estimation, or related construction roles.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in digital takeoff software (PlanSwift, Bluebeam Revu, AutoCAD, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards.
• Competence in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets for data management and reporting.
• Ability to read and interpret complex architectural and engineering drawings.
