Fire Sprinkler Fabrication & Coordination Engineer

Position Overview 

The Fire Sprinkler Fabrication & Coordination Engineer is responsible for preparing detailed shop drawings and fabrication plans for fire sprinkler systems. This role requires close coordination with other trades, including HVAC and structural teams, to ensure seamless integration of fire protection systems into overall project designs. Experience working with 3D scans is considered an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop accurate shop drawings and fabrication plans for fire sprinkler systems.
  • Coordinate with HVAC, structural, and other trade teams to resolve design conflicts and ensure project alignment.
  • Utilize AutoSPRINK software to design and detail fire sprinkler layouts.
  • Apply Autodesk ReCap for 3D scanning and integration when applicable.
  • Review project specifications and ensure compliance with industry standards and codes.
  • Provide technical support during fabrication and installation phases.
  • Maintain documentation and records of design changes, coordination meetings, and fabrication schedules.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in fire sprinkler design, fabrication, or coordination.
  • Experience with 3D scanning technology is a plus.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in AutoSPRINK (mandatory).
  • Familiarity with Autodesk ReCap (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of fire protection systems, fabrication processes, and industry standards.
  • Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
