Position Overview The Customer Service Representative (CSR) for Auto Insurance will serve as the primary point of contact for policyholders, assisting with inquiries, claims, policy updates, and billing concerns. The CSR ensures a positive customer experience by delivering accurate information, resolving issues efficiently, and maintaining compliance with insurance regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle inbound and outbound calls, emails, and chat inquiries related to auto insurance policies.
- Provide clear explanations of coverage, policy terms, and claims processes.
- Assist customers with policy changes, renewals, cancellations, and billing inquiries.
- Guide clients through claims filing and documentation requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions in CRM systems.
- Collaborate with underwriting and claims teams to resolve complex issues.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and local insurance regulations.
- Promote customer retention by delivering empathetic, solution-oriented service.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in customer service, call center, or insurance-related roles is an advantage.
- Knowledge of auto insurance products, claims processes, and regulatory requirements is highly desirable.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with customer-centric focus.
- Ability to explain complex insurance terms in simple, clear language.
- Proficiency in CRM software, MS Office, and insurance management systems.
